What is Serve Volleyball Academy?

Serve was established in 2011 by Bill and Kira Arend as a place for young athletes to learn and play the sport of volleyball in a wholesome, safe, Christ-centered environment, and develop an early love for the game. Serve has evolved into a volleyball ministry where we follow 3 simple rules: 

-Love Jesus Christ

-Learn Volleyball

-Have fun

The program is a great starting point for beginners and young girls from Kindergarten thru 6th grade who want to explore the game without the pressures of club volleyball.  As they learn the game and develop their skills, they can transition to the many competitive clubs in the area if they choose.  Serve is the "un-club" of the volleyball community. 

What makes Serve Volleyball Academy different?

Serve is a faith-based program with a commitment to building character, leadership and self-esteem in young athletes.  We are helping them open their hearts to service and a love for others.  We are teaching a respect for authority and sportsmanship. We are demanding commitment and hard work, and especially making friends, having fun and growing to be confident, strong young ladies.

• Serve's only focus is developmental volleyball. We utilize age-appropriate net heights, ball weights, and court size, and TONS OF FUN with prizes, contests, and spirit days.

• Serve uses the "grow your game" method of systematically progressing young athletes from skill introduction to skill development, and on to skill implementation with fun-filled instruction and competition. Athletes will learn the skills necessary for when they transition to school and club league play. 

• Serve uses devotional memory verses from the Bible at each practice to teach athletes life lessons, and closes with a cheer and a prayer led by our chosen PLAYER of the DAY.
